Ginuwine is bringing REAL R&B back with the release of his 6th studio album entitled “A Man’s Thought’s”. Since 1996 when Ginuwine was discovered by Jodeci, and introduced to a then up and coming producer Timbaland, he’s brought us hits which depict the sensual, emotional and soul side of R&B such as ”Pony” off his certified-double platinum debut album ”The Bachelor”, “Differences” and “In Those Jeans” off the certified-platinum album “Senior”.
It’s hard to stay creative and produce a full album that fans can enjoy from start to finish, after being in the game for 14 years, but Ginuwine definitely delivers with this one. Most of the tracks on this album are produced by Timbaland but he also teamed up with Polow Da Don, The Runners, B Cox, The Underdogs and more. Ginuwine keeps his guest list to a minimum on this one, with appearances by Brandy, Missy, Bun B and Timbaland. If you have a good ear for music, you will hear RL’s voice from the group Next on a couple of tracks, although he is not officially listed as a featurette.
Now, I just listened to the CD in my truck, and let me just be modest and say it has a nice system. I always have to hear how a new cd sounds in the system before I give my true opinion on it, because I love real music you can ride to, burn to and f*ck to. You know, grown folks music, music you can vibe to! Let me just say, this album is great for R&B, which has slipped a little bit, right along with hip-hop, on its quality. Determined not to dissapoint, Ginuwine recorded 43 tracks for this album, making sure his fans would be able to listen to the cd from start to finish. The final product is an album that has 15 perfectly timed tracks, that just flow, song after song. It’s good R&B, and guess what? You don’t have to listen to the over-abused Autotune on this one!
My favorites off the album, in no particular order are, the lead single” Last Chance” which has a great hook, “Just call me Jordan 4th quarter in 92”. “Trouble” feat. Bun B has a great beat, and this one will definately be a summer smash. “Show Off”, for all the ladies who have been hitting the gym hard during the long winter months, you can definitely hit the dance floor this summer and ‘Show Off’ to this one! “Bridge To Love” is a good duet with Brandy, great lyrics in that one. “One Time For Love” and “Used To Be The One” are great R&B songs, anybody who has been in love can definitely feel these two. “Open The Door” and “Touch Me” are great songs to get it on to, of course I gave them a test ride!
“ Get Involved” is the only song I didn’t really vibe to, it’s just too techno sounding for me. It sounds like a left over from a Justin Timberlake album. Now since I received a leak cd of all the possible songs that could have been on this album, I was a little sad he decided to leave off one of my favorites, “Good For Nothing”, but hopefully it will be on the next album.
“A Man’s Thoughts” is a solid album for REAL R&B heads to vibe to! Definately go out and support Ginuwine this Tuesday, June 23rd, and grab your self a copy!

Be sure to check back next week for Jermemih’s, mr. “Birthday Sex” himself, album review.
It’s great to have Ginuwine back; heard him interview yesterday on my local radio station. A breath of fresh air. Thanks for convincing me to buy the album.
I really enjoy the new Ginuwine CD, now all I need is that new Maxwell and K’Jon that comes out on Aug. 4th and my summer collection of music is finished! If yall don’t know who K’Jon is…he has that song On The Ocean. Check his music out @ http://www.myspace.com/whoiskjon!
