So have you heard the latest reason to explain the BP Gulf oil leak? Well, much like anything catastrophic that happens, God is involved. Yeah, you know the same God who released his wrath in the form of an earthquake on those Voodoo worshiping Haitians earlier this year? Uh-huh, the same God who used Hurricane Katrina to punish “the gays” of New Orleans in 2005? Yep, I’m talking about that loving God
Well according to a group who calls themselves Generals International, the Gulf oil spill is God’s punishment because of Barack Obama’s poor treatment of Israel. Yeah I know, right? Israel? Are Barack and Farrakhan buddies or sumthin? Well anyway, according to these loons, Cindy and Mike Jacobs of Generals International in their webcast, God is pretty pissed off because Obama has disrespected the state of Israel:
I guess this is all plausible especially since Obama is a Kenyan born Muslim and all, right? I mean maybe this explains why Obama decided to side with Israel against the UN in regards to an international investigation of the recent flotilla incident. Maybe Obama was trying to get back in the good graces of God by doing that. But then God said, “I’ll show these fools,” and then in the blink of an eye, the Deep Water Horizon Exploded.
Yep, forget all the talk of BP’s incompetence, greed and deregulation. Yeah, forget that crap because the truth is the Lord works in mysterious ways. And because he is who he is, he chooses special people who just happen to be religious fundamentalists to hit ‘em with a text message to say, “you betta let these fools know, son!” Yeah, I’m sure Helen Thomas is somewhere saying ten Hail Marys as she tries to prevent Iowa from being hit by a tsunami.
Ironically, this very group sponsored and participated recently in a May Day 2010 prayer rally in-spite of recent financial troubles. Of course God stepped in and through his magic they were able to secure a $15,000 matching grant. But as you know, God’s work isn’t cheap, nor does he have the cash. I guess this would explain why on the webcast they were seeking donations to fight off the attacks from a demonic vortex they’re currently battling, that is trying to shut them down.
Sadly, Rev. Jeremiah Wright couldn’t be reached for comment.

Is it any coincidence that the worst most backward states in the union are all very Christian and very republican. If space god wanted to punish Obama why didn't send the locust to a state he actually carried.
These folks are a trip I can't believe there are so many that believe in everything that they are saying.

Nuff said…(smh)
It was only a matter of time before the religious right blamed the spill on something. Actually, I'm surprised that it took them this long. Maybe they've learned some restraint…? Never mind.
This also relates to Sarah Palin's tweet about needing a miracle or divine intervention to help with the oil spill. Conservatives are trying to paint this as an act of God rather than a f*ck up of Man. Think about it, you can't hold man (or corporate entities that are treated like men in our legal system) accountable for acts of God. Thus the oil spill is no one's fault but God…and Barack Obama.
Crude oil continues to invade the Gulf; while BP, the US Government, and other official agencies monitoring the toxic crude, continues to FIDDLE. I call that the “Dance of Deliberate Deception”. No one will come forward with the intestinal fortitude, and declare the obvious – that crude oil is toxic to our health. I have been told that a medical study cannot be conducted until after 6 months of exposure. WHAT? There have been 21 years since the exposure of the crude oil in Prince William Sound, Alaska. So we have to wait until after 6 months of workers, in the Gulf, breathing in the crude oil fumes, before a study can be conducted? That leads me to believe that the government is holding up the rug, while BP sweeps known reports under that same rug, and the other agencies conduct the “Dance of Deliberate Deception” on top of that rug.
Read this alert – stand with me and demand honest answers for the Gulf residents, and cleanup workers who will be suffering from the toxicity of the crude oil, if this political dance is allowed to continue.

My name is Merle Savage, a female general foreman during the Exxon Valdez oil spill (EVOS) beach cleanup in 1989. I am one of the 11,000+ cleanup workers, who is suffering from health issues from that toxic cleanup, without compensation from Exxon.
Dr. Riki Ott visited me in 2007 to explain about the toxic spraying on the beaches, and informed me that Exxon's medical records that surfaced in litigation by sick workers in 1994, had been sealed from the public, making it impossible to hold Exxon responsible for their actions. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=563220885…
Beach crews breathed in crude oil that splashed off the rocks and into the air — the toxic exposure turned into chronic breathing conditions, central nervous system problems, neurological impairment, chronic respiratory disease, leukemia, lymphoma, brain tumors, liver damage, and blood disease. http://www.silenceinthesound.com/stories.shtml
As a Christian, I hate stuff like this. These nutjobs need to come up with a different banner to wave because this is not Christianity, it's idiocy shrouded in "Christian" and it irritates the life out of me. These people have no concept of God. SMH.
Definitely agree. Very true statement.
God bless us all- if this is the case…
I definitely agree that these people are extremely radical. In fact, they should be called what they truly are fundamentalists. Recently, in Ohio a large statue of Jesus was struck by lightning sending some of the more extremist Christians to proclaim the end was near. The story actually gained some national prominence and was the front page article on yahoo.com. As I was perusing the comments on yahoo.com I read what was probably the most poignant comment I've ever read. " I believe in God and I believe in lightning. The statue burned because it's plaster structure built on a metal base, not because of God's wrath." That's exactly the way I feel about the BP oil spill. It's completely a reflection of BP and has nothing to do with God's wrath or fury. These groups are half a step from becoming suicide bombers.
These batcrap crazy people forget that God created science and universal laws that man work with and in some cases unsuccessfully like with BP. I'm sick and tired of these fundamentalists who for the lack of a brain have to default to a "Higher" power damnation to explain away something their small minds can't comprehend. Fundamentalists please pick up a science book, or take a class..oh I forgot science is of the devil. Jesus be a fence..seriously…I don't see the purpose of these people wasting airspace. They are an insult to intelligence.
I was looking on the web site and saw that you haven't covered the BP disaster recently. I saw this article on how it affects black culture and black life and what not.
