About FXP

Launched January 21, 2009, TheFreshXpress (FXP) is a daily online magazine which provides commentary and insight on issues that are at the heart of Black America. Hundreds of writers and bloggers have contributed to and continue to contribute to TheFreshXpress on a regular basis, bringing together voices from across the nation to provide fresh perspectives on real issues in real time.

As a daily online magazine, we update with new posts each morning, and provide updated news throughout the day. Our contributors come from across the country, from most major cities and states, and range in experience from the college student to the young professional to the experienced journalist.

Our mission is to bring to the mainstream the voice that is not always heard, but that matters the most. We’re more than a website. We’re a voice. We’re a vision. We’re a movement. We are the PULSE of young Black America.
